Everyday questions

What exactly is Isodrip?

Isodrip is precision-distilled deuterium-depleted water bottled in glass. Ordinary water contains about 150 parts per million of deuterium — a heavier form of hydrogen. We bring that number down to 85, 105 or 125 ppm using vacuum fractional distillation, then verify every batch by mass spectrometry.

Will I taste the difference?

No. Isodrip tastes the same as clean still water. Some long-term drinkers describe it as “softer,” but blind taste tests do not reliably separate DDW from clean spring water.

How much should I drink?

Replace your normal drinking water with Isodrip — about 1.5 to 2.5 litres per day depending on your size and activity. There is no benefit to drinking extra; consistency matters more than volume.

Can I cook with it?

You can, but heating does not change the deuterium ratio, and the bottle is small for cooking. Most people use Isodrip for direct drinking and stick to tap water for soup.

What happens if I stop drinking it?

Your body deuterium ratio gradually returns to baseline. Nothing dramatic. Isodrip is not a habit you have to maintain at risk.

Science

How DDW actually works

What is deuterium and why does it matter?

Deuterium is a heavier form of hydrogen — a hydrogen atom with one extra neutron. In water it sits at roughly 150 ppm. The deuterium-depletion hypothesis is that lowering this concentration may give mitochondrial ATP synthase a small but measurable break. The research is encouraging and ongoing.

What is the difference between DDW and hydrogen water?

They are completely different. Hydrogen water has dissolved molecular hydrogen gas (H₂) added to it. Deuterium-depleted water has the deuterium isotope partially removed. Different products, different mechanisms.

Is DDW the same as alkaline or structured water?

No. Alkaline water and “structured” or “hexagonal” water are marketing categories with no agreed scientific definition. DDW is a specific isotopic composition that can be measured to the part-per-million on a mass spectrometer.

Where can I read the actual research?

Most foundational DDW research has come from Dr. Gábor Somlyai and HYD LLC. in Hungary, starting with their 1993 FEBS Letters paper. Our blog and Science page link to several peer-reviewed studies. Always check the original journal article rather than headlines.

Products

Choosing your tier

Which ppm should I start with?

Daily (125 ppm) for the first 4–6 weeks if you are new to DDW. Plus (105 ppm) for ongoing regular intake. Pro (85 ppm) for structured 30-day reset windows alongside training or travel.

Why is glass-bottled water more expensive?

Plastic micro-fragments make it into bottled water more often than anyone is comfortable with. Glass is heavier and costlier to ship, but for a product whose whole pitch is purity, glass is the consistent choice.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Yes — subscribe and save 15% per case, with free shipping in India. Pause or cancel anytime. The subscription is monthly by default; you can switch to fortnightly or quarterly.

Orders

Shipping and returns

Can I return Isodrip?

Yes — unopened cases within 14 days. Opened cases cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, but if you are unhappy with your order, write to us and we will find a way.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, at cost. Glass is heavy so international freight is meaningful. We aggregate shipments where possible. Email hello@isodrip.com for an international quote.

How do I read the batch information on my bottle?

Each bottle has a QR code. Scan it to see the Certificate of Analysis for your specific batch — production date, source water, distillation runs, verified ppm and microbial panel.

Safety

Storage and special situations

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

We do not have enough specific data to recommend Isodrip during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Please ask your doctor.

Is it safe for children?

Children can drink DDW; the research suggests no harm at consumer ppm levels. That said, we do not market Isodrip to children. Please use your own judgment with your paediatrician.

How should I store the bottles?

Sealed and out of direct sunlight is enough. Glass is forgiving. Once opened, refrigerate and use within 30 days for best taste.

Are there any medications it interacts with?

No clinically significant interactions have been reported in the published literature, but the dataset is small. If you are on prescription medication, mention DDW to your physician so they can include it in your overall plan.
